Backwards Compatability |

Ok, the Sony Website have officially launched a new page that lists all games that will work on the PS3 (also there is an indicator of whether or not it will have issues when playing - minor or major)

I wouldn't worry too much about the backward compatability, it is a problem for Sony in their marketing messages and strategy that lets competitors score points against them but for us lot....we still have a PS2 so not a major issue....also when I went from PS one to PS two the only game I ever played was Final Fantasy 9 form the PS one.
Also, the compatability will get better with time and Firmware upgrades.

Yup, firmware will be a nice addition to the Playstation line
I have only ever played one PSone game on my PS2 (Metal Gear Solid) just to see if the graphics were actually any better (they were not!)
First Firmware update is available from launch date, so Yeoooo
But untill there's more updates, I thought a list would be helpful
